SA flays Israeli raid on aid ship

KARACHI - The Sindh Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution condemning the Israeli attack on Turkish ship carrying humanitarian aid for Palestinians. They also urged that all the Muslim countries should break relations with the United States of America which is patronising the Israels illegitimate existence. The out-of-turn resolution moved by the Provincial Minister for Irrigation and Power Syed Murad Ali Shah, and simultaneously signed by Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, leader of Opposition Jam Madad Ali Khan, MQMs Khawaja Izharul Hassan and Khalid Ahmed. The resolution read as: This Assembly vehemently condemns the deadly Israeli attack on a Turkish ship 'The Mavi Marmara sailing in international waters, carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, recognises the attack as an unprovoked barbaric crime against humanity, and prays for the well being of the injured and extends condolences to the families of the innocent who lost lives in the heinous and unpardonable assault on May 31. Speaking in favour of resolution, Minister for Irrigation and Power Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the Israeli barbarism was not new for the Palestinians as whole world was already witnessed it at several occasions and condemning it. He said that Sindh Assembly should send this resolution to the Foreign Office of Pakistan, through it be circulated to all over the world to spread the message and will of the Sindh Assembly. Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro condemning the Israeli attack said that Pakistan government was using all its contacts for safe return of Pakistani journalist Talat Hussain and others. MQMs Faisal Sabzwari said that we prey for safe return of Pakistani journalist and others. On behalf of MQM, he condemned the Israeli attack on Turkish ship. Provincial Minister for Katchi Abadies Rafiq Engineer censured the Israeli attack on humanitarian caravan and urged the liberal countries of world to break relations with Israel. PML-Qs Shaharyar Mahar termed the United Nation as a failed organisation and stressed for effective role of Organisation of Islamic Conference. He also condemned the USAs role in patronising the Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians. He urged the Muslim countries for breaking relations with so-called supper power of the world. Provincial Minister for Minorities Dr Mohan Lal said that all the minorities of the Pakistan condemned the Israeli barbarism. Sassui Palijo, Haji Muzaffar Shujrah, Anwar Mahar, Sharjeel Memon, Nadeed Bhutto, Saleem Khurshid Khokhar, Dr Sikandar Mandhro and others spoke in support of Palestinians and condemn Israeli barbarism.
