PCB chief visits Pindi Stadium


RAWALPINDI - Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf visited Pindi Cricket Stadium and remained there for almost three hours and inspected the renovation work and directed the concerned department to speed up the pace of work and complete it as early as possible as this stadium is one of the best in cricketing world.
He also directed the ground must be handed over to the board at the earliest so that the international matches could be hosted at this venue. Islamabad Region President Shakil Shheikh, Rawalpindi Region President Naeem Akhtar Gilani and Rawalpindi Region head coach Sabih Azhar were also present on the occasion.
Zaka Ashraf praised the services of Rawalpindi Region head coach Sabih Azhar, and said that Rawalpindi team is doing a fantastic job and that too without having the big names. He praised Sabih Azhar performances for Pakistan by winning SAARC Under-25 Cup as head coach of the team and also reached the final of three nations Under-19 ODIs in South Africa where they were beaten in the final. Pakistan bounced back and took sweet revenge of their loss in final by beating the hosts 2-1 in the ODIs.
