Pakistan cricket community offered their condolences over the sad demise of comedy king Umer Sharif, who passed away in Germany on Saturday after a prolonged illness.
The renowned artist was traveling to the US for treatment. The king of comedy took his last breath at the age of 66.
On the sad eve, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Ramiz Raja, former star Shahid Afridi, national team skipper Babar Azam and others expressed grief in different ways.
PCB chairman condoled the demise of the comedian. Taking to Twitter, he wrote "So sad to lose Umar Sharif. One of the finest in his field, his wit and humour was legendary. We will miss him more in today’s world that’s mired in pessimism. RIP!!

The national team skipper in a tweet said, "I am so heart broken on the death of #UmerShareef sb. He was indeed the undisputed king of comedy and the legend of Pakistan. May Allah SWT forgive him, elevate his ranks and grant him Jannatul Firdaus, Ameen. Please recite Surah Fatiha for his soul."

Former skipper Shahid Afridi acknowledged the invaluable services of the celebrated actor. Afridi wrote on Twitter "Rest in peace Umer Sharif sahab. Thank you for your invaluable services for Pakistan and making us laugh with your eternal comedy over the years. You’ll be missed forever!"
