MUZAFFARGARH - Two armed dacoits shot and killed a youth over offering resistance during a dacoity bid in the limits of Shah Jamal police station, Muzaffargarh. According to police sources, two armed dacoits riding a motorcycle intercepted a youth namely Malik Munawar Hussain alias Pappa Sewra near Head Bihar on late Friday night.
They opened fire and killed him over resistance while snatching motorcycle and escaped. According to eyewitnesses, the bandits were equipped with Kalashnikovs and pistols. Upon receiving information, SHO Shah Jamal police station M Nawaz reached the spot along with heavy police contingent and took the body into custody and shifted to RHC Hospital, Shahjamal for autopsy.
Police have registered the case and started legal action into the incident. Police Crime Scene Unit and Forensic Team have collected evidence from the spot. The victim was a tractor driver by profession.
Meanwhile, a body of a young man was found at a deserted place in the area of D-Type Colony police station, Faisalabad. Police on Saturday said that some passersby spotted the corpse of a 30-year-old man lying at a deserted place in Allama Iqbal Colony and informed the police. Police took the body into custody and shifted it to the mortuary for postmortem. Further investigation was underway.
INTERNATIONAL BIKER DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT
International biker Baba Mudassar, who was returning after attending the funeral of a biker on Saturday, crushed to death following a traffic accident in Burewala.
According to the details, Mudassar, resident of Burewala, was returning home on his motorbike after attending the funeral of his fellow biker Mustafa Jamal, who had died in a traffic accident in Mian Channu.
The biker sustained serious injuries after his bike collided with a rickshaw after hitting with donkey cart near Command Road 84 Adda. The local people shifted him to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Burewala in critical condition but he succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital.
Mudassar also participated in the Pak-Iran friendship bike rally along with his team a few months ago
