Debate on Vision 2025 starts today

Islamabad - The ministry of planning, development & reforms with the collaboration of Higher Education Commission (HEC) is organising a four-day debate contest, starting from today (Friday), among youth of the country on Pakistan Vision 2025.

The event is scheduled from 2-5 September 2016 in Islamabad and the purpose behind the contestant is to initiate a debate among youth of the country on Pakistan Vision 2025 to evolve the socio-economic thought process which can steer Pakistan towards greater development and growth.

According a spokesman of the ministry, “The Pakistan Vision 2025 Debate is set up to provide a platform to rational minds of the country in order to engage them in a constructive debate on how we can harness our efforts as a nation to overcome the socioeconomic and political challenges faced by our country.”

It is aimed to initiate a debate on how internalising a vision can help give clarity and direction to a nation. It will also provide an unparalleled platform for debate, the ministry of planning, development and reform will be providing teams with broad line motions in every round of the Pakistan Vision 2025 Debate.

 Themes for each round will be inspired from the basic pillars of Pakistan Vision 2025.

Pakistan Vision 2025 Debate is shaped in a manner to bring meaning out of the war of arguments which will be waged throughout the competition, logic of the debates will be translated into policy recommendations on different pillars of Pakistan Vision and will be incorporated in the future plans.

Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) will open the Pakistan Vision debate today (Friday) at Islamic International University.
