NA unanimously approves resolution against Altaf Hussain

Today the National Assembly unanimously approved a resolution against ex MQM chief Altaf Hussain to condemn his anti-Pakistan slogans and instigating an attack on media offices.

The resolution was presented by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudary Muhammad Bajrees Tahir.

The resolution stated that Altaf Hussain instigated violence in Karachi following an Anti-Pakistan speech perpetuated by the ex-Chief of MQM. The resolution also pledged allegiance to institutions which Altaf had spoken against numerous times.

In a press conference today, Farooq Sattar announced that the party detached itself with Altaf Hussain when he detached himself from Pakistan. Sattar also said that had it been possible, MQM too would have moved the resolution. He added that august 22nd was the worst day for MQM.
