Rawalpindi - Police under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 49 law-breakers including 42 security ordinance and Punjab Renting rules violators besides recovering 1065 grams hashish, seven bottles of liquor, four 30-bore pistols and 18 rounds from the possession of the arrested accused, a police spokesman said yesterday.

Pirwadhai police held Toseef for having 510 grams hashish. Saddar Baroni police netted Fareed and recovered 555 grams hashish. Race Course police apprehended Tahir Younis on recovery of seven bottles of liquor.

Sadiqabad police arrested Abdul Gias and Humayun Afzal for possessing two illegal 30 bore pistols and 12 rounds. Jatli police booked Taseer for carrying a 30-bore pistol with four rounds while Saddar Baroni police nabbed Waheed and seized a pistol and two rounds.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police rounded up 42 security ordinance and renting rules violators.

Cantt police registered FIRs against Malik Haroon, owner of Punjab Pharmacy, Malik Tamoor, owner of Madina Jewelers, Malik Zeeshan, owner of Variety Jewelers, Malik Imtiaz, owner of a marriage hall on security ordinance violation.

Taxila police registered cases against Malik Abdul Khaliq and Muhammad Hassan on security ordinance violation. Shabir, Asif, Fazal, Shahid, Ashfaq, Akram, Rashid, Nawaz, Amir, Shabbir, Anwar, Dilawar and others allegedly violated Punjab renting rules were sent behind the bars.
