LAHORE - Better planning, dedication and hard work can lift the Pakistan Railways and increase its revenue, said Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Railways Nisar Ahmed Memon. Addressing the farewell in his honour given by the senior officers and other staff at the Railway Headquarters here on Wednesday, he said that while preparing any project, all the aspects must be kept in view so as to save money as much as possible which could be used properly. “Praise be to Allah, all the projects that I have prepared in my service have been approved and flourished,” he said and urged the officers that wider interest for the betterment of railways should be kept always. “If we respect each other, we will always get respect,” Memon said. He said there were weaknesses in every field that could be fixed by working hard. Later, on behalf of Directorate General of Public Relations, Director General Public Relations Syeda Maryam Gilani presented a shield and a bouquet of flowers to the outgoing chief executive officer Pakistan Railways in her office. It is pertinent to mention here that CEO Pakistan Railways is retiring from service on February 4, 2022 after attaining the age of superannuation.
