THQ Hospital MS held; expired medicines seized

The Anti-Corruption Establishment police on Tuesday held the Medical superintendent (MS) Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Kushab on charges of using harmful expired live saving medicines.
The ACE officials also seized huge quantity of expired medicine and registered a case against the MS and other paramedical staff for posing threat to public life at the cost their own interest. According to details, ACE Sargodha Region Director Babar Aman Babar was tipped off that expired and spurious medicines were being used in Khushab THQ Hospital. Acting on the clue a team was constituted headed Civil Judge Muhammad Asif. The team carried out a raid on the THQ Hospital and recovered expired and spurious medicines while MS Dr Muhammad Ayub Ansari was arrested. The ACE registered a case against the MS and other paramedical staff including Technician Habibur Rehman, Muhammad Munir and LHV Sidra who were not present there at the time of the raid. Further investigation is underway.
