BUREWALA - The Mepco Burewala division detected 100 power pilferers from Madina Town and unearthed a illegal mini grid station. These power thieves have been fined over Rs0.6, disclosed Mepco Burewala Division Deputy Manager Malik Ashfaq Ahmad Awan while talking with The Nation here on Thursday. He said that on the directions of the Mepco CE special drive had been launched against the power pilferers. During the campaign, Madina Sub-division Assistant Manager and his team detected 100 cases of power theft and recovered Rs0.6 fine from the thieves. Moreover, the team also unearthed a mini grid station set up by one Shaukat Ali in Chak 543/EB for supplying electricity other houses along with his residence and a case has been registered against him.
