ISLAMABAD- Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has advised his Cabinet Ministers to opt for a careful attitude on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain’s arrest and refrain from giving any statements in this regard.
According to sources, Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan met the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif earlier today and briefed him about the matter of Altaf Hussain’s arrest by the London Metropolitan Police. At this, PM Nawaz said that it was a sensitive matter and one cannot interfere into the affairs of other countries. He issued directives for his cabinet ministers, asking them to refrain from giving any statements in this regard. Meanwhile, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said MQM Chief, Altaf Hussain will be provided all possible legal assistance in the matter, if he or his party requests the Government of Pakistan.
