Pak Army soldier embraces martyrdom in IED attack

ISLAMABAD - A Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom in an IED attack in South Wazirstan on Wednesday. Media wing of the military said in a statement that an IED exploded near a military check post in Kaniguram, South Waziristan District. "Resultantly, one soldier, Lance Naik Waqas Ahmed, age 26 years, resident of Karachi, embraced shahadat," the statement said.  It further said that cordon and search operation followed the attack to apprehend any terrorists found in the area. The statement by the ISPR said that Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and sacrifices of the brave soldiers further strengthen their resolve.
