Gwadar -  The security forces, in an operation, killed four alleged terrorists here in Bela Dasht area on Wednesday.

According to Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman, the law enforcment agencies eliminated four terrorists in Bela Dasht area of Gwadar district and confiscated a huge quantity of arms from their custody.

The FC spokesman said that four killed terrorists were associated with a banned organization. Further investigation was underway.

Separately, unidentified armed men killed a Levies cop in the area of Wadh in Khuzdar district and managed a good escape. The district administration took the dead body into custody and handed over to the relatives after completing necessary formalities.


In the wake of terror threats to airports, soft targets and government installations, the security has been tightened in Balochistan for the next 72 hours.

A notification to this effect was issued by Balochistan chief secretary office on Wednesday, declaring the next 72 hours as crucial.

The notification directed all authorities concerned to take immediate precautionary measures and foolproof security arrangements on all vulnerable points.

The responsible quarters were also instructed to exercise extra-ordinary vigilance to avert any untoward incident.
