QUETTA - Thirteen people were wounded in a motorcycle bomb blast in Balochistan's Kharan district on Tuesday, police said. Rescue workers said that nine of the injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital while four critically injured patients were shifted to Quetta.
According to police, the blast took place shortly after a vehicle of security forces passed through the area. Police investigators said the bomb was fitted in a motorbike that was parked alongside a busy crossing.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the blast. In a statement, he said the anti-state elements will not be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs. He directed to provide best medical treatment to those injured in the blast. CM also condemned Monday’s bomb attack on Mir Akram Sajidi's car in Hub and expressed sorrow over the death of Mir Akram Sajidi in the terrorist attack.
Expressing condolences and sympathy to the family of Mir Akram Sajidi, he said that he stands with the family of the victim in this hour of grief. The Chief Minister also directed the police chief to use all available means to arrest the elements involved in the incident. The Chief Minister has prayed for early recovery of the injured.
