Fake degree holders should not be in parliament: CJP

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has remarked fake degree holders should not be in the parliament as they undermine the prestige of parliament.
CJP further remarked as to why Election Tribunal (ET) gave decisions despite the fake degree holders cases pending hearing in Supreme Court (SC) and it did not wait for apex court decisions. Does the ET consider itself superior to SC. The court has ordered for holding full fledged  inquiry in  fake degree case. No good message went to the whole world due to the parliamentarians holding fake degrees. People conceal their fake degrees from their voters and bag votes. How can they be sincere with  their voters. How the people can trust them.
He gave these remarks while heading a 3-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) during the course of hearing Sumaira Malik degree case here Wednesday.
Hamid Khan counsel for the petitioner Omar Aslam told the court Sumaira Malik got seated another person in the BA examination in her place. A lady who passed FA examination in 1981 claimed to have passed BA examination in 2002. ET had dismissed petition of Omar Aslam by transgressing its powers.
The court expressed annoyance over rejection of the petition by ET and criticized the latter?s decision saying as to why ET did not wait for the decision of SC and why it gave decision.
The court while seeking all the record in this fake degree case from ET  has adjourned the hearing till today.
