Rally backs anti-govt marchers

SHEIKHUPURA
A large numbers of PTI activists took out a protest rally from Shami Road to Yadgar Park against the government over the police assault on the protesters and media persons in Islamabad.
Reaching on Lahore-Sargodha Road, the protesters led by the district president staged a sit-in, suspending the traffic for two hours and causing great inconvenience to the road users. The PTI leaders addressing on the occasion said the rallies and sit-ins would continue country wide until the resignation of Nawas Sharif.
Meanwhile, the journalists held a meeting in Press Club, and condemned the attack on PTV station in Islamabad. The participants urged the law enforcers to arrest the attackers as early as possible. They describe it an attack on the freedom of journalism.
PTI WORKER’S HOUSE LOOTED: Five dacoits barged into PTI activist Khurram Riaz Advocate’s house near Nasheman Park and made off with cash and jewellery, besides injuring a family member on resistance in broad daylight.
In absence of the owner of the house, the outlaws after scaling the boundary wall stormed into the house. The intruders held up the family members at gunpoint and collected cash and jewellery. When they were fleeing, a family member put up resistance at which the bandits hit him with gun, injuring seriously. The city political circles condemned the incident over poor law and order. They demanded early arrest of the culprits.
