ISLAMABAD - The leadership of Pakistan and Bangladesh have sent to each other gift packs of mangoes as part of the mango diplomacy. President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi has sent a gift pack of mangoes (king of fruits) to President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Haseena Wajid. A spokesman for Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, Aurangzeb Harran, confirmed that the gifts have been delivered from Pakistan to both President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Earlier, PM Haseena Wajid also sent best mangoes gift pack to Prime Minister Imran Khan. Pakistan every year sends mangoes to various heads of governments and states as a goodwill gesture and to promote Pakistani fruit ‘mango’.
