Imran terms budget anti-poor, pro-rich

LAHORE -  PTI Chairman Imran Khan yesterday termed the federal budget anti-poor and pro-rich.

The PTI, chief while talking to media persons, said   each Pakistani is paying 40 paisa to settle the foreign loans out of every rupee he is paying as tax to the govt, whereas the rulers are asking for more foreign loans to settle the previously acquired loans.

Imran Khan  said the ruling party is building Orange-Line Train with a cost of Rs 200 billion in a city which needs clean drinking water and not the Orange Line.

PTI leader Chaudhry Sarwar said that the budget promises nothing for the poor and working classes. It is the fourth consecutive budget of the ruling party which came up with the same budgetary proposals which it tabled during last three years, he said.

PML-Q senior leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the budget did not bring any good news for the urban and rural population while the most affected sector is the farming.

All the tall claims made by the govt for this important sector has nothing to do with realty as farmers are not promised to get reasonable prices for their crops according to their expenditures, he added.

Former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi said that he gave farmers several incentives to the farmers during his stint in power in Punjab including 50 per cent concession on electricity bills for agricultural tube-wells.
