A bus plunged into a gorge in northern India on Tuesday, killing 45 people and leaving five seriously injured, police said. The accident took place near the popular hill resort of Kufri in the state of Himachal Pradesh. "Forty-five have been killed and five are critically injured," Shimla police chief R.M Sharma told reporters. According to officials, 49 passengers were on board. Police and rescue teams reached the scene. Dead bodies and injured are being shifted to nearby hospitals.
