Pakistan men’s football team physical trainer Rodrigo Esteves dos Santos has said that the boys have the potential to shine in every situation.

Sharing his views during the ongoing camp here in Lahore, the physical trainer said: "The national football team that we selected and trained from different cities is quite good. They all are good players and good learners as well. The boys are good at learning new things and also improving their performances every day. I am also trying my best to take them up to the mark i.e. exercises and games are also undertaken to enhance their skills."

He further said: "I have joined the PFF as a physical trainer just four weeks ago, and from my joining to date, the boys have been growing in every aspect, from fitness to running, everything is going well. The boys are young and they belonged to different clubs and participated in different games; from there they gained exposure."

Talking about the fitness of the team, he said: "The scenario of the Pakistan side is good; the fitness plan is to make them speed-wise fast and the other is to make them physically strong. My aim is to focus on their technical skill which will help them in the future.

"Pakistan's presence can be felt if they get a chance in any international event and I am sure they will perform well in the future. I am seeing Pakistan shining in the next few months," he added.

Rodrigo concluded that the nutrition plan is excellent. "We are giving hygienic food and some supplements to make them physically strong, while the training and friendly games are also being done on a daily basis in order to make them fit and mentally strong for the upcoming international assignments," he asserted.
