Secretary Information and Broadcasting Shahera Shahid said officers from all the attached departments and sub-offices of the ministry would be encouraged to undertake the capacity-building courses in greater numbers in the future.

Addressing the graduation ceremony of training programmes at the Information Service Academy in Islamabad today (Monday), she said such training is crucial to keeping the officials abreast of the latest trends in media development, use of IT, and campaign development using different media platforms, especially social media.

Officers nominated by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Pakistan Television, Audit Bureau of Circulation, Associated Press of Pakistan and Press Information Department attended the training sessions.
