Warm welcome accorded to Inoki, team

PESHAWAR (Said Alam) - World fame Japani wrestler, Antonio Inoki and his team members arrived in Peshawar on Tuesday for "Wrestling for Peace Festival" beginning in Peshawar today (Wednesday).
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports, Tourism and Archives, Syed Aqil Shah received the honourable guests. MPA Shagufta Malik, Director Sports, Altaf Umerzai, DCO Peshawar Javed Marwat, Honorary Consul General for Japan, Fazal Karim Afridi and others were also present on this occasion.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome accorded by the provincial government and Minister Sports, Hussain Inoki said the purpose of holding “wrestling for peace festival” in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was to show the real face of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the world, adding that they were peaceful and hospitable. He said that they aim promotion and restoration of peace with the scheduled festival, adding that if they all worked with unity for peace than the terrorists would face defeat.The Syed Aqil Shah and MPA Shagufta Malik thanked the Japani wrestlers for their efforts for restoration of peace in the province. He said that the wrestling for peace festival which is going to start in Peshawar on Wednesday (today) would be witnessed by 25000 spectators and the entire world would also watch it through the media.
