MQM complains against high handedness of MQM Haqiqi in Landhi

KARACHI: Dr. Farooq Sattar, Deputy Convener of Mutahida Qaumi Movement Saturday alleged that no less than 25 of the 68 polling stations in more than seven union councils off Landhi have been taken over by his party opponents, MQM's Haqiqi faction.

Addressing a press conference this afternoon the MQM leader questioned indifference of the concerned authorities in maintaining writ of rule.

"Why is that no action was taken when more than 25 men workers and around 20 women workers of MQM were subjected to maltreatment while none of MQM polling agents were allowed to guide their voters reaching these polling stations," he enquired.

Dr. Farooq Sattar accompanied by Nasreen Jalil, another senior leader of MQM said the matter was immediately reported to ECP, however, response remained awaited and his party decided to intimate people about the situation through media.

He alleged that wide range of discrepancies were registered during the process that would be duly shared with the people once the voting process is concluded by this evening.
