The increment of 30, 000 more American troops in Afghanistan has made me write this. Let us look at the history of this war on terror and Pakistan's role in this war. To begin with, this war is an illegitimate child of Bush and Musharraf. Bush had no agenda back home after his rigged election so he raised that silly slogan of "Freedom under threat". Musharraf faced the issue of the illegitimacy of his rule back home so he readily joined up the American as a virtual mercenary. Both befooled their peoples and are now comfortably ensconced in their ranches. We, in Pakistan, are suffering and shall suffer forever, perhaps. -AMJAD HABIB MIRZA, Lahore, December 2.
