KARACHI - Six people were gunned down while police have found four tortured and bullet-riddled bodies from different areas of the City on Friday. Two transporters and their driver were gunned down at Sir Shah Suleman Road near Essa Nagri within the limits of Aziz Bhatti police station. Police said that the deceased were identified as Akhtar Hussian, 48, and Naveedur Rehman, 50, resident of Nazimabad area while their driver was identified as Ashfaq, 38, resident of Baldia Town. Police said that deceased were running their combined transport service in SITE area and the incident occurred shortly. They were returning after withdrawing cash from a nearby bank.Police said that at least four armed men riding two motorcycles intercepted the vehicle and opened indiscriminate firing, resultantly, both of them died on the spot. their driver succumbed to injuries during treatment at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Police said Naveed’s son, Ali Rehman told that his brother and his father’s friend had no affiliation with any party as well as no personal enmity with anyone. Police suspected that they were killed in a robbing bid while the culprits did not take away the cash. No case has been registered till the filing of this report.A Unit-Incharge of Sunni Tehreek was shot dead and another wounded in Sector 8 within the jurisdiction of Saeedabad police station. Police said that the victim namely Rashid aka Shan, 24, and injured Rizwan Nizamuddin, 29, were busy in congregation for their slain leader Saleem Qadri when unidentified armed riders targeted them and managed to flee from the scene. Resultantly Rashid died on the way to Civil Hospital Karachi while Rizwan admitted for treatment. ST spokesman Fahim Qadri condemned the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the assailants involved.A body of a young man was found from Sher Shah in Sher Shah police precincts. Police said that the deceased was identified as Ali, resident of Old City area. He was kidnapped when he went out of home for some work and later his body was found from the said place. Police said that he was shot once in his head after brutal torture while the motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained. Another body of a young man was found near Netty Jetty Bridge within remits of Jackson police station. Police said that the victim namely Irfan Ashfaq, 23, resident of Garden area, was kidnapped by unidentified culprits. The culprits shot him twice in his head and threw his body at an abandoned place. Police said the victim had no affiliation with any political or religious party. Further investigation was underway.Gunmen ridding on a motorbike targeted a shop owner at Golimar within the remits of Gulbahar police station.Police said that gunmen riding two motorbikes targeted Sajid Abul Salam when he was closing his tiles shop located at Golimar Chowrangi. The culprits managed to flee. The deceased was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead and handed the body over to the family after autopsy while the cause of the murder has yet to be ascertained till this report was filed. Some unknown assailants sprayed bullets on a car at 32/B Korangi within the remits of Korangi Police station.Police said that man identified as Sultan was going in his car when gunmen intercepted him and shot him multiple times. He was taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead and handed the body over to the family. Political affiliation of the deceased has yet to be disclosed. Docks Police found a shot dead body near Kalapani area and shifted it to morgue after autopsy. Police said that he was shot once and his body was thrown at the said place by unknown culprits. In an unusual incident, police have found a torso, hands and legs from three gunny bags placed on the road in Baldia Town within SITE-B Section police station. Police said that the gunny bags were lying at a place with a little distance, adding that the head of the victim has yet to be recovered.accused persons named in Shahzeb murder case: Police has nominated father, uncle and brothers of the accused persons in Shahzeb murder case.Drakhshan police has also nominated Imdad Talpur, father of accused persons, Sikandar Jatoi, father of Shah Rukh Jatoi, his brother Shahzad Jatoi and his uncle Mazhar Jatoi and has started conducting raids to arrest them. Police said that they had been named in the case as they had provided refuge to the accused persons. DIG South Shahid Hayat said director passport had been contacted for revocation of the passports of the culprits.
