Super Football League draws announced

LAHORE Holders Islamabad United will face last editions runners-up Karachi Energy (then known as Karachi Bazigaar), when second edition of Super Football League (SFL) 2010 will commence at June 11 at Karachis Peoples Sports Complex, Mauripur Road, Lyari Town (10 pm Kick off). The venue that hosted 2005 SAFF Championship, had also organised the first edition three years ago under flood-lit system with Islamabad United winning 23-match show. The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) maintained five teams for the second edition of the Super Football League (SFL) 2010 also which will be concluded on July 31. Other three participants will be Peshawars Tribe FC, Quetta Zorawar and Lahore Lajpaals. The SFL 2007 was the first season of the countrys first-ever inter-city football league in collaboration between the PFF and the sponsor. That league was held from July 20 to September 9 and Islamabad United emerged as champions when tense, absorbing 0-0 final stretched to the nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out with Islamabad, against all odds, outkicking Karachi Bazigaar 4-3. Draws (all matches at Peoples Stadium, Karachi).
