Highest allocation proposed for NHA followed by Ministry of Water Resources,

Viability Gap Fund, Cabinet Division, Power Sector

ISLAMABAD   -   A major portion of around 52pc (Rs419 billion) of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2022-23 fund will go to communication, water resource, Cabinet Division and power sector.

As per the proposed allocation by the Annual Plan Coordination Committee (APCC) for the ministries/division and corporations, the highest allocation has been proposed for National Highway Authority followed by Ministry of Water Resources, Viability Gap Fund, Cabinet Division and Power Sector, official source told The Nation.

According the source, for corporations an allocation of Rs171.126 billion has been proposed which includes Rs121.515 billion for NHA and Rs49.611 billion for Power Division, (NTDC/PEPCO). For Water Resources Division Rs96.800 billion have been proposed while an allocation of Rs90.836 billion VGF for Public Private Partnership Projects.

For Aviation Division Rs2,4.24 billion, Board of Investment Rs807.500 million, Cabinet Division Rs60.059 billion, Climate Change Division Rs9.500 billion, Commerce Division Rs1.174 billion, Communications (other than NHA) Rs180 million, Defence Division Rs1.846 billion, Defence Production Division Rs2.7 billion, Establishment Division Rs800 million, Federal Education & Professional Training Division Rs6 billion, Finance Division Rs1.450 billion, provinces and special areas Rs96.480 billion, Merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rs50 billion, Higher Education Commission Rs41.879 billion, Housing & Works Division Rs11.597 billion, Human Rights Division Rs167 million, Industries & Production Division Rs3 billion, Information & Broadcasting Division Rs2 billion, Information Technology & Telecom Division Rs5.481 billion, Inter Provincial Coordination Division Rs3.333 billion, Interior Division Rs10.471 billion.
