Mardan - Pakistan People Party (PPP) leader and former Federal Minister Nawabzada Khawaja Muhammad Khan Hoti regretted the unprecedented rise in prices of petroleum products and electricity tariffs saying that if a wave of inflation continued on the poor they will be forced to take to the streets.
Talking to the media here, Khawaja Hoti argued that, suffering from inflation, the poor people breathed a sigh of relief after the departure of the PTI government and it was expected that the issues with the IMF would be settled but the incumbent government also unprecedentedly increased the prices of petroleum products and electricity creating a storm of inflation.
Khawaja Hoti added that we consider the rights of poor people above politics. If inflation is not curbed, then, like the Imran Khan, we will take to the streets to protest against the present government.
