ISLAMABAD    -   The Prime Minister has constituted a high-powered committee tasked to investigate the cyber security breach of the PM House in the wake of the recent audio leaks.

A notification issued by the Cabi­net Division yesterday said that the committee would oversee the inves­tigations into the breach and ensure electronic security of the public of­fice of strategic importance. Interi­or Minister Rana Sanaullah has been made a convener of the commit­tee and Minister for Climate Change Sherry rehman, Minister for Commu­nication Maulana Asad Mehmood Federal Minister for IT Aminul Haq, cabinet sec­retary, Director General ISI or his nominated represen­tative, Director General IB, technical expert nominat­ed by PTA, technical expert nominated by FIA and tech­nical expert nominated by ISI would be part of the com­mittee. The notification says that the committee would submit its report within sev­en days to the PM Office. The committee would also re­view the existing cyber se­curity protocol of the PM House and would suggest foolproof cyber security and digital ecosystem that insu­late the cyberspace of the PM House and PM Office from all kinds of cyber intrusions.
