PESHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Information Department in collaboration with Pushto Addabi Chaman Thal is going to hold a two-day second Pashto Aalmi Convention at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar on April 6 and 7, 2012.
The convention will be attended by the delegates from within as well as foreign countries including Germany, Afghanistan, UK, USA and Middle East.
The main objective of the convention is to review the steps taken for the promotion of pushto language, literature and culture and to prepare recommendations to meet the challenges in this regard.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Culture and Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain will inaugurate the convention on April 6, 2012. The prominent pushtoon intellectuals and writers who will participate in the convention are included Habibullah Rafi, Ghafoor Lewal, Khair Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Asif Samim, Prof. Darvesh Durrani from Afghanistan, Prof. Mehmood Ayaz from Quetta, Arif Tabbasum from Islamabad, Tahir Afridi from Karachi, Hidayatullah from Germany, Feroz Afridi from Qatar and Haji Sharif Orakzai from Dubai.
It is worth mentioning that the Pushto Addabi Chaman Thal has successfully organized the first Pushto Aalmi Convention in 2005 at Nishtar, Peshawar.
