Attock district included in Universal Health Insurance programme

ATTOCK -On the special directives of Prime Minister, Attock district has been included in Universal Health Insurance programme which will benefit more than 2 million population of the district. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam said this while talking exclusively to this journalist. He said that by the end of this year, the process will be completed and all those who are permanent residents of Attock district will have access to this program and have health cover worth Rs1 million. Malik Amin said that after completion of the process, CNIC will be valid as Universal Health Insurance Card and the residents of Attock will have access without any financial constraint to 450 hospitals across the country which are on the panel of the federal government. He said that Sehat Sahulat Programme is social health protection initiative of the government providing free of cost health insurance in the form of Sehat Insaf Card which is a revolutionary step of PTI government to the vulnerable and marginalised families. While replying a question, he said that expansion of this programme will be completed by the end of this year and everyone will benefit from it without any political or personal influence.
