Pak-Russia horticulture business forum to be set up

KARACHI - Pakistan and Russia will establish PAK-Russia Horticulture Business Forum soon to cooperate horticulture trade and technical assistance between two countries which will provide stalls in exhibition free of cost, agriculture technology, warehouses, cold storages, exchange of delegation and establishment of offices in major cities of Russia, said Abdul Wahid Patron in Chief of Pakistan Fruit and vegetables Exporters and Importers and merchant Association in a press statement issued here on Thursday. He stated that Russia is ready to help in stabilizing Pakistan economy. During his visit to Russia he met with the ministry of commerce, ministry of finance, Russian chamber of commerce, high officials of different provinces and business associations. During the visit Russian Trade and Business personnel showed their interest in Horticulture products along with Pakistani Rice, opens an opportunity to become the biggest market comparing to Europe. Russia will become high pay market for Pakistan horticulture products witnessed to see of selling mangoes at US$ 22/Per 2 Kgs Box, encouraging that exporters will not faced cosmetic problems which they faced in European Market he added. He said that the MoU will be signed soon between the both countries in order to expand bilateral trade in future. He added that an exhibition will be conducted under the banner of said forum next year which will display the Pakistani horticulture products aim to open a horticulture products section at Pakistan Embassy Russia.
