Imran welcomes Barrister Sultan into PTI

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Thursday welcomed former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood for joining his party.
Addressing a gathering organised by PTI here in Islamabad to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day, Imran Khan pointed out that there were no allegations of corruption on Barrister Sultan and he took right decision to join PTI. The former prime minister of AJK has recently announced to join PTI. Earlier, he remained part of PML-N and PPP.
Chairman Imran Khan said truth regarding rigging in the 2013 General Elections would be revealed by the end of this month. He criticised the Sindh and Punjab governments for delaying local bodies’ elections in their respective provinces.
Imran Khan said that such a local government system would be set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) where powers would be devolved to the lower levels. He claimed that municipal system in KP would be the first of its kind in Pakistan whereby even villagers would have powers.
On the occasion, Imran Khan paid rich tributes to people Kashmir for their struggle for right of self-determination and showed his resolve to start a movement at international level for the solution of Kashmir issue. “Only strong Pakistan would be able to fight case of Kashmir at international level,” he said.
Imran Khan demanded that an organisation on the pattern of NAB should be established in AJK to end corruption there. He said that PTI would also introduce best local government system in other provinces and AJK when came into power on the pattern of KP. He said that drastic steps were needed to restore confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the state institutions. Khan also announced to hold his party’ rally in Mir Pur, AJK in future. PTI leaders Jehangir Tareen, Gulam Sarwar Khan, Zahid Hussain Kazmi and former premier AJK Barrister Sultan Mahmood also addressed the gathering.
RASHEED ADVISES IMRAN TO
FOCUS ON HIMSELF, PARTY
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed on Thursday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan didn’t refrain from venting out anger on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif even on Kashmir Solidarity Day.
He further added that no one knows when Khan will stop politics of getting personal, adding he (Khan) should focus on himself and his own party members.
Reacting to PTI chief’s address, Rasheed said that it is the day to express solidarity with Kashmiris as they had been awaiting to hear what Khan speaks about them.
