OKARA - Armed robbers took away two motorbikes, gold ornaments and cash worth hundreds of thousands of rupees here in four different strikes in and around the city the other day. As per detail, a resident of Shergarh was on way back home on his bike from Rajuwal when near Pul 23/D armed dacoits took him hostage at gunpoint. Te culprits snatched Rs85,000, a cell-phone and bike from him. In another such incident that took place in Farooq Nagar Shergarh at the house of one Mohammad Ali, son of Kamil, five armed bandits forced their entry into his house. They took the family members hostage and made off with Rs60,000 and gold ornaments worth more than Rs100,000. Similarly, at General Bus Stand Hafiz Mohammad Nawaz, son of Wakeel Ahmad was going to Jamia Masjid Lorry Adda. Near wagon stand two brigands took him hostage and deprived him of cash and a cell-phone. Meanwhile, in another such incident took place near Village Husti, armed outlaws intercepted motorcyclist Usman and Abdur Rehman. They snatched the bike and cell phones from them and fled away. The police could not arrest any of the criminals.
