LAHORE - Amir M Khan Mazari (Aitchison) and Abubakar Talha (Wapda) have qualified for the boys singles final of the MID COURT-Athletes Unraveled ATF Championships U-14 Leg-1 at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex Islamabad. In the boys singles semifinals, Amir Mazari outpaced Zohaib Afzal Malik 6-3, 6-3 and Abubakar Talha beat Samer Zaman 6-0, 6-3. In the boys’ singles 5/8 position, Ali Zain beat Hammad Kashif 6-0, 6-0, Hassan Usmani beat Esa Fahd 6-1, 6-1. In the boys doubles semifinals, SA Gardens’ Abubakar Talha and Zohaib Afzal Malik played well against Esa Fahd and Moazzam Babar Khan and outclassed them by 6-0, 6-0 while Amir Khan Mazari, pairing with Samer Zaman, faced tough resistance from Ali Zain/Hassan Usmani before winning the encounter by 7-6(4), 4-6, 10-5. Pakistan tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi also witnessed some of the matches and interacted with the players and parents.
