This is the most interesting time in my life: Imran

GUJRAT/LAHORE     -   Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said Wednesday that the present time is the best time in his life. “I am happy because this is the most interesting time in my life. This is the best time (if compared to) of all such times,” he said while addressing party workers in Gujrat. The former prime minister visited different districts of the Punjab province to encourage party workers for anti-government long march towards Islamabad. In a meeting with PTI leaders belonging to Gujranwala, Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and Gujrat districts, Imran Khan directed them to send lists of all party workers from the respective districts within two to three days. The meeting took place at 90-Shahrahe- Quaid-e-Azam, the chief minister’s secretariat. Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, central secretary general Asad Umar, senior provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, central Punjab President Dr. Yasmin Rashid, general secretary Hamad Azhar, Information secretary central Punjab Andalib Abbas, besides senior vice President Colonel (retd) Ijaz Minhas were also present on this occasion. Assigning tasks and targets to the district presidents, the PTI chairman directed that at least 6,000 workers should come to the capital from Gujranwala and Sialkot each whereas Gujrat should bring 5,000 workers. He gave a target of bringing 4000 people to the party cadres from Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Narowal. He also sought details of the expenses to be incurred during their stay in Islamabad while directing them to begin raising funds and resources for the purpose. He also said that the local leadership will be responsible to bear the expenses of the workers reaching Islamabad. Organisational structure of PTI’s central Punjab up to UC level were reviewed in the meeting. The ex-premier asked the PTI’s organisations to get prepared for the highly anticipated long march. Talking about the date of the long march, he said he will decide about the timings and other details at appropriate time after assessing the level of preparedness of the party organisations. “This will be my last call before the elections”, he said. Also, the PTI chairman took oath from the participants of the meeting by asking them to raise their hands, pledging to topple the incumbent federal government to bring ‘real independence’ in the country.
