Hoti for completion of uplift schemes in Kohistan

PESHAWAR - Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has directed for completion of people welfare schemes in district Kohistan through project committees of local elders keeping in view inaccessibility and weather situation of the area. He reached village Saglo, Union Council Gabrial, Tehsil Kandia, district Kohistan on Monday where he met affectees of last months floods in the area. He distributed compensation cheques among the heirs of flood victims and approved bridge and separate primary schools for boys and girls in the area. He assured that the government would provide funds in connection with the completion of the schemes. KP Health Minister Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Commissioner and DIG Hazara and Officials of District Administration were also present on the occasion. The CM directed Zahir Ali Shah for steps in connection with establishment of community health centre in the area. Fateha was offered for the flood victims on the occasion. The chief minister expressed solidarity with the flood affectees. Earlier, he was apprised of the loss the flood caused in the area on night of August 24 besides claiming precious lives. The elders thanked the chief minister for provision of assistance. The CM was also informed of the details of provision of tents, blankets, medicines and food bags to the affectees in the relief operation that lasted for four days. A three-month old child, who had survived beneath the debris for a whole night after flooding and was rescued safely, was brought to the CM. The CM also met a five-year-old child who stuck in trees after flooding and survived. He expressed affection upon them and thanked God for the miracles of their survival.
