MIRPUR (AJK)
The life-time member of British House of Lords Lord Nazir Ahmed said here that the ongoing violation of ceasefire on the Line of Control by the Indian troops were mere hoax by the Hindu fanatic political groups including BJP and RSS to win the forthcoming general elections in India, by cashing in on the Pakistani enmity card.
He was speaking at a reception hosted in his honour here late the other night by former City Municipal Corporation Administrator Chaudhry Mansha Ullah before leaving for the visit to the recent Indian-firing hit forward locations on this side of the LoC in Kotli district to inquire about the well-being of the firing-hit forward areas population besides expressing solidarity with them.
PML-N leader Ch Mansha Ullah, former MDA chairman Ch Muhammad Siddique and Britain unit President Zubair Gull also addressed the ceremony.
Expressing grave concern over the frequent incidents of the unprovoked firing by the Indian troops from across the LoC, Lord Ahmed said the unprovoked Indian firing caused huge losses to both the life and property. He said that the issue of increased aggressive designs of India in the disputed region would be raised in the Western world to avert increased threat to the regional peace. He urged for the early peaceful solution of Kashmir issue through the resumption of composite Indo-Pak dialogue.
Referring to the current internal political situation of AJK, Lord Nazir Ahmed said that although he had nothing to do with the power politics of AJK at any stage, yet the ongoing alleged increased in corrupt practices during the sitting Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed-led government’s era were intolerable for being son of the soil.
Lord Ahmed continued that the PML-N head and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif believed in elimination of corruption from its roots in all spheres of life. He said that the strong evidence of corruption proved by the PML-N AJK chief and leader of opposition in AJK Legislative Assembly Raja Farooq Haider Khan against the incumbent AJK ruling clique will soon be moved before the Prime Minister of Pakistan with recommendations for early action for the ouster of the AJK rulers from power under the interim constitution of AJK and the law of the land. “I will be back to UK only after getting a change of the government in AJK through the constitutional action to ensure establishment of a clean administration in the State”, Lord Ahmed declared.
He maintained that the incumbent AJK rulers seemed much upset due to his arrival in the State. “I have no any interest in power politics of AJK, but seek complete eradication of corruption and the supremacy of the rule of law and justice in my homeland in true perspective”, he vowed.
