ISLAMABAD - Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has urged the people to develop qualities of a sovereign and truly independent nation in themselves and face the present internal and external challenges with determination. The PTI workers should bend their energies and place all of their resources at the disposal of the flood victims in this hour of crisis, he remar-ked. The PTI Chief said that the bloodbath in Karachi amoun-ted to preventing the local population from helping the flood victims adding, in this mayhem, all the coalition partners of Sindh are equally involved. In a message sent to the In Charge of flood relief camps set up by the PTI in the flood affected areas, Imran Khan hoped that with the nations support, the flood affectees would be rehabilitated soon. He said the Governments indifference and carelessness towards the flood victims stood exposed. The rulers have left the flood victims in the lurch by undertaking foreign joyrides at this critical hour. This amounts to rubbing salt into their wounds, he said. The so-called steps being taken by the Government for the relief of the flood victims amounted to window dressing only and the rulers visits to the flood affected areas were being undertaken only for photo sessions. The fact of the matter is that millions of the flood victims have been left at the mercy of circumstances to fend for themselves, it further said. The PTI Chairman has appealed to the nation not to wait for the Governments help in this hour of crisis and face the situation on self-help basis. The PTI will go the whole hog in providing relief to the flood victims, the message said. The Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, said the target killings in a place like Karachi that has not been affected by floods is not understandable. It is important to note that the PTI has set up relief camps in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad and other cities of the country.
