LAHORE - Peshawar Zalmi has appointed former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq as president for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 edition. 

The former batting great was previously affiliated with Peshawar Zalmi as a mentor in the last season of the PSL. The PSL’s latest edition will be played in Karachi from January 27 to February 7 and in Lahore from February 10 to 27. The first match will be staged under the lights at the National Stadium, where Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans will go head-to-head. 

Peshawar Zalmi Chairman Javed Afridi on Thursday welcomed Inzamam once again to the ‘Zalmi family’. “Inzamam-ul-Haq is a legend and his inclusion will benefit the Zalmi cricketers,” he said and added: “The cricketers will get to learn a lot from the expert and expertise of Inzamam.” 

MOU SIGNED BETWEEN ZALMI AND HAIER

Meanwhile, an MoU signed between Peshawar Zalmi and Haier Pakistan, which became the main sponsor of Peshawar Zalmi for the fifth consecutive year. The MoU signed between Peshawar Zalmi and Haier Pakistan for PSL 7 commencing from Jan 27. 

The MoU was signed between Peshawar Zalmi and Haier Pakistan at Haier’s annual brand seminar at a local hotel on Thursday, where Peshawar Zalmi President Inzamam-ul-Haq and Haier Pakistan CEO Mr Feng signed the MoU. Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz was also present at the occasion. Wahab presented a commemorative shield to Mr. Feng, CEO of Haier Pakistan, on the completion of five years of partnership between Peshawar Zalmi and Haier Pakistan.
