LAHORE - Umair Butt emerged as club champion and Abdullah Khan won the CEO Cup in the Defence Raya Golf Championship 2022 here at the par 72 Defence Raya Golf Course.
Umair Butt had a two rounds aggregate score of 149 (gross 75 in the first round and gross 74 in the final round) to win first position while Zunair Aleem finished second (149) and Jamal Nasir third (151).
In the race for honors in CEO Cup, which was net score based, Abdullah Khan made his mark by remaining accurate off the tees and adherence to the basics of putting while concluding each hole. For an 11 handicapper, this represents a sizeable achievement. His score of net 136 is laudable and praiseworthy. Runner-up in the net category was Col Manzoor Karim with a score of net 141 for two rounds while third net winner was Abdullah Khawaja with a score of net 141.
The longest drive was hit by Saad Sikandar and the nearest to the pin by Salman Pasha. At the concluding ceremony, the prizes were awarded to the players by Miss Sunny of TCL and Kang Chong Jin, CEO, Defence Raya in the presence of Haroon Shafiq, Tournament Director and participating golfers.
