GUJRANWALA - Broadening the scope of mass movement on streets, the PML-N took out a number of processions across the country on Sunday against Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, demanding his immediate resignation.
In Gujranwala, organisers had made arrangements for 8,000 to 10,000 people where the protesters gathered at the venue and burnt effigies
Meanwhile, addressing the rally, PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq stated that ‘former prime minister’ Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has rejected the decision of the Supreme Court now decision will be taken in people’s court. ‘Gilani should listen that if long march starts it will not end at his resignation but whole of PPP will have to quit’, he stated. Saad Rafiq said “Asif Ali Zardari’s intentions were not good from day one, that’s why we had to launch a long march for the restoration of the judiciary. The Federal government is spreading hatred in the name of creating new province.”
“PML-N also wants creation of new provinces on administrative basis and not on linguistic grounds,” he said and added “The prime minister will stage a ‘quick march well before the start of our long march.’
Similarly, the PML-N also organised an anti-govt rally at Karachi Press Club. PML-N leaders Saleem Zia, Marvi Memon and Mushahidullah attended the rally. The PML-N also took out a protest rally in Peshawar.
