Pakistan's budget being prepared by IMF in Dubai: Ayesha Gulalai

ISLAMABAD- PTI Information Secretary KPK and MNA Ayesha Gulalai, has expressed concern over the preparation of coming budget and said
it is very unfortunate that Pakistan's budget is being prepared by the IMF in Dubai. The Federal Government is giving an undertaking that Rs230 billion would be raised by increasing electricity and gas tariff.
In a statement, the PTI MNA said instead of taxing the 4 million wealthy identified by the FBR, burden is being passed on to the already burdened masses. "It is ironic, instead of a competent team, federal ministries are being run by relatives and cronies," she said. She criticised the government for prolonged load shedding of almost 20 hours and said that it was extremely agonising for common masses whereas dwellers of Raiwind are exempted from this menace. "Instead of giving relief to the masses of KPK for being the province which generates cheap hydel power at 1 rupee and 10 paisa per unit, recent hike of Rs7 per unit reveals discrimination and the provincial government would protest against it on all relevant forms" she said.
