RAHIM YAR KHAN - The first Hajj flight, carrying 263 pilgrims from Jeddah arrived at Sheikh Zayed International Airport here the other night. Boeing 737 of Jordan Aviation hired by Shaheen Airline arrived at 4:55pm, three and half hours late from its schedule time of 1:20pm.
Elaborated security measures were adopted by the Airport Security Force (ASf) and relatives of the pilgrims were restricted to the grounds of the airport. The police force was also deployed for effective security of the pilgrims.
On the occasion, the pilgrims told journalists that during stay in Saudi Arabia residences were better and they face less difficulty. Some pilgrims complained about lack of immigration facilities at Sheikh Zayed International Airport due to which they were forced to stay for long time at the airport. It is to be noted that poor parking arrangements were made outside the airport due to which people face hardships to clear their vehicles on Allama Iqbal Open university Road.
