Commander Jordanian Naval Forces arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Commander Royal Jordanian Naval Forces Brigadier General Qasem Fadeel Nahar Tanashat has arrived on a 5-day official visit to Pakistan.
According to Pakistan Navy, Jordanian Naval Forces Commander is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah.
Upon his arrival at Naval Headquarters, the Jordanian Naval Forces Commander was received by the Chief of the Naval Staff.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy clad in ceremonial dress, presented him the Guard of Honour.
The visiting dignitary was then introduced to Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters.
Later, Brigadier General Qasem Fadeel Nahar Tanashat, called on Chief of the Naval Staff in his office, where he held detailed discussion on professional matters with his counterpart. During the meeting various avenues of cooperation between the two navies were also discussed. A comprehensive brief on Pakistan Navy’s role in     regional maritime security situation and Operational developments was also given to the visiting dignitary.
During the visit, Brigadier General is scheduled to call on Defence Minister and Minister for Defence Production.
The honourable dignitary joined the Jordanian Navy in 1977. Besides holding the appointment as Commander Royal Jordanian Naval Forces, the Commander has had the privilege to serve on coveted appointments including Commander Maintenance Battalion, Head of Planning and Programming Branch, Head of Training and Human Resource Branch, Head of Production Division, Deputy Commander of King Hussein Main Workshop and Commanding Officer of Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah Military Technical College.
Brigadier General Qasem Fadeel Nahar Tanashat, is a graduate of Royal Jordanian National Defence College and has also done Defence Resources Management Course from USA. He holds Masters degree in Management and Strategic Studies.
This visit is expected to greatly augment the bilateral cooperation between both the Navies.
