Iqbal focuses human unity, solidarity while visualising a society where everybody is technically trained and socially civilised. Compilation of essays entitled “Reconstruction of religious thoughts in Islam” are amongst the masterpieces of Iqbal dealing with the fundamental questions of religion, philosophy and life. Iqbal throws light on every aspect of life in his works. Being a nation, we did not take full advantage of Iqbal. The sole reason behind this negligence is that we are merely men of words. We also avoid those elements in our character building that instigates a sense of responsibility in an individual. Teachings of Iqbal are universal which are based upon the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. Iqbal manifests deep insight over economy, politics, mysticism, philosophy and modern science and arts. Iqbal wants to see the characteristics of a Shaheen in Muslim youth. But Iqbal’s Shaheen looks ignorant regarding his duties and responsibilities. Iqbal wants to see the revival of Muslim glory and desires it to be a prosperous and brave nation. In this struggle, Iqbal demands such youth from Muslim Ummah who aspires to explore the limits of skies. Iqbal talks about sky time and again as he has set it the limit for himself. We should admit that the secret of economic as well as religious success lies in following the enlightenment given by thinkers like Iqbal. Iqbal considers an ignorant nation as guest on earth because their ignorance will soon vanish them. Iqbal always talks about social transformation and talent while condemning radicalism. Iqbal teaches Ummah the lesson of harmony, peace and love through his poetry. Unity among Muslims is the only guarantee to their existence in front of Iqbal. A way forward recommended by the expert penal from day one of the conference can be classified in five different categories. First, message of Iqbal invites an individual to explore and recognize his destination in the universe. Second, we as a nation need to understand Iqbal as understood by Quaid-e-Azam. Third, Quaid endorses that the Pakistan Resolution is the warmth of Iqbal’s message. Fourth, the basis of the establishment of Pakistan is the philosophy as well as message of Iqbal. Fifth, according to Iqbal, Pakistan should incline towards Central and East Asia geo-strategically as well as geo-economically. There is a dire need to frame our national priorities in accordance with the guidance disseminated by our founding fathers.
