Arrangements for 3-day Urs of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam scheduled from 10th

MULTAN   -  District administration Tuesday discussed and finalized arrangements for the annual 708th three-day Urs ceremonies of renowned saint Sheikh ul Islam Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam, beginning from Dec 10 here. Deputy commissioner Amir Kareem Khan chaired a meeting with officials from departments concerned and took briefing from them with regard to preparations for arrangements of the Urs ceremonies. He ordered that proper arrangements to provide proper accommodation to Zaireen and temporary wash rooms be set up to facilitate them. He said that all the departments would set up their camps during the three-day Urs and a special shuttle service would operate from railway station to the mausoleum of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam for Zaireen convenience.

He said that special camps would be set up for vaccination of Zaireen against novel coronavirus and their kids below the age of five against polio.

He said that a comprehensive security and traffic plan would be enforced and intra-city transport would operate adding that the mausoleum and nearby buildings would remain under strict security cover.

He ordered Multan Waste Management Company to make flawless cleanliness arrangements to leave a good impression on countless Zaireen who would arrive from across the country particularly Sindh to attend the Urs. Earlier, SSP Operations Shaista Nadeem gave a detailed briefing to DC on security arrangements.
