LAKKI MARWAT - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, MPA, Munawar Khan has said that he will have no option other than dissociating himself from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz if the practice of accepting turncoats into the party ranks is not stopped.
He was speaking at a function after inaugurating a newly established water supply scheme in Achukhel village here on Saturday. The scheme has been completed at the cost of Rs 3 million to provide clean water to the residents of several villages and hamlets for drinking and other purposes. Munawar criticised PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif for opening the doors of party to those politicians who had accused him of signing a shameful exile deal with Musharraf to proceed to Saudi Arabia leaving behind his party workers in dismay. He said that he won 2008 general elections as independent candidate and joined PML-N while rejecting the ministerial portfolios offered by ruling parties.
“Apart from that my family faced great hardships in Musharraf regime and even my elder brother late Haji Muhammad Kabeer Khan (ex-MNA) suffered imprisonment,” he maintained. He said that sincere workers and leaders are being cornered and pushed to the wall by high command of the party.
He said that the workers, who rendered sacrifices, kept hoisting party flags and raised Pakistan Muslim League and Nawaz Sharif Zindabad slogans in the era of Pervez Musharraf, had no respect in the party at all.
“The turncoats and new comers with vested interests have replaced such sincere activists and leaders,” he maintained. The lawmakers made it clear that he would not be able to have an attachment with PML-N anymore if Nawaz Sharif did not stop infiltration of perfidious elements and timeservers into the party. He announced provision of funds for interlinking water supply schemes of Achukhel, Salarkhel and Wanda Ameer with each other, laying out water supply lining and pavement of streets in the village.
He went hard on Saifullah brothers and held them responsible for the backwardness of Lakki city and other localities of PK-76 (Lakki-III).
He alleged that MNA Humayun Saifullah Khan ignored urban and rural localities of his provincial assembly constituency during the last over four years.
