LAHORE - The City received light rain on Monday, making weather pleasant by causing considerable decrease in the mercury level. Light rain, overcast conditions and continuously blowing winds decreased the daytime temperature by 09 degree Celsius, providing respite to the Lahorites from harsh weather conditions. On Monday, maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded 31C and 25C respectively. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded 51pc, which increased to 53 percent in the evening. People come out of their houses in the evening to enjoy pleasant weather. Major parks and picnic spots attracted a large number of people including women and children. Huge rush was witnessed at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Racecourse Park, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Jallo Park, Lahore Zoo and other picnic spots in the City. According to the experts, westerly wave is still affecting the upper parts of the country and is likely to persist for the next couple of days. Tropical cyclone (Phet) has converted into low-pressure area over Rajhastan (India). Local meteorological department has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of rains and dust raising winds for the City during the next 24 hours. On Monday, Lahore received traces of rain.
