Four terrorists shot dead in Balochistan, NW operations

RAWALPINDI - At least four terrorists belonging to different banned militant organisations were killed during security operations launched in Balochistan and North Waziristan, officials said Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “On 6 June 2022, Security Forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation in general area Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District, on reported presence of terrorists.”

During intense exchange of fire, the ISPR said, two terrorists got killed. Weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists. The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

Meanwhile, based on information of presence of a group of Terrorists in general area Parodh Mountains, near Nushki, Balochistan, Security Forces conducted an operation to apprehend them on June 6.  Once the troops started clearance operation in the area, terrorists tried to escape from their hideout and opened fire onto security forces. As a result, two terrorists belonging to BRA including Nadeem and Shahzad Alam were killed in ensuing exchange of fire.

These terrorists were involved in recent security incidents in Kharan and surroundings besides planting of IED on a Security forces convoys, the ISPR added. In addition, arms and ammunition were also recovered which were intended to be used by the terrorists for disrupting peace and security in the area. Security forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.
